FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is Barullo a tequila?
Barullo Spicy Watermelon is a tequila liqueur (licor con tequila). It starts with blanco tequila and adds watermelon flavor and chili, and it is bottled at 30% alcohol by volume (60 proof), so it is smoother and sweeter than a straight tequila. Serve it cold.
What is in the cans?
The Barullo Spicy Watermelon Mix can is a ready-to-drink cocktail made with blanco tequila, corn neutral spirits, watermelon flavor and chili at 5% ABV. Each can is 355 mL (12 fl oz) and they are sold as a 12-pack.
What pack sizes can I buy?
The 750 mL bottle comes as a single bottle or in 3, 6 and 12 packs. The cans come as a 12-pack. Shipping is calculated per order, so extra bottles travel almost free.
Where do you ship?
We ship to more than 40 states from our licensed retail location in California. Enter your address at checkout and we will tell you immediately if we can deliver to you. Alaska, Hawaii and a handful of control states are not available.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Yes. Federal and state law requires an adult signature (21+) with valid ID on every alcohol delivery. The carrier will attempt delivery up to three times. Shipping to a work address usually makes this easier.
How fast will it arrive?
Orders ship within 1 to 2 business days. West Coast deliveries usually land in 2 to 3 days, East Coast in 4 to 6. You will get tracking by email and text as soon as the label prints.
Is this the same Barullo sold in Mexico?
Yes. It is the genuine, Mexico-bottled product, labeled for the US market and imported with all federal label approvals. In Mexico it is sold as Spicy Sandía; the US bottle says Spicy Watermelon.
How should I drink it?
Keep the bottle in the freezer and pour it as a shot with a chili-salt rim and lime. For a long drink, pour 2 oz over ice and top with grapefruit soda (a Barullo Paloma), or mix 1.5 oz with sparkling wine, soda and mint for a Sandía Spritz.
Can I return it?
By law we cannot accept returns of alcohol once delivered. If a bottle arrives damaged or the order is wrong, send us a photo within 48 hours and we will replace or refund it.
Do you sell to bars, restaurants and events?
Yes. Contact us for case pricing and we will get back to you within one business day.
